Editorial policy

Every rule on this page is enforced by an automated check in the codebase, not by good intentions. If a rule changes in code, it changes here in the same commit.

Three kinds of statement, never blended

Fact
Who is injured, who is suspended, when kickoff is. It comes from a source and it is dated.
Model output
A probability the model computed. A probability is not a forecast of what will happen.
Interpretation
What follows from the first two — and is marked as such.

Who writes

Analysis is attributed either to the WinPIQ editorial team or to PIQO, our computational analyst. PIQO is not a person, is never presented as one, and is never given credentials, experience or a claim to have watched anything. We do not invent authors.

Expert opinions

  • Real people only. We do not invent a quote and we do not invent an expert.
  • An opinion is attributed to a named person only when the source itself names them. Otherwise it is attributed to the publishing outlet.
  • An opinion is attached to a match only if it was published within ten days of kickoff. An older quote is never hung on a newer fixture.
  • We summarise briefly and link to the source rather than reproducing an article.

Language we ban

An automated check reads the Hebrew and English strings a customer can see, the guides included, and fails if it finds language that promises certainty, invites chasing a loss, or manufactures urgency. It understands Hebrew prefixed and suffixed forms too, not only the bare phrase. Translations into our other languages are reviewed separately, because what counts as a negation differs in each.

Corrections — by addition, never deletion

When an assessment changes, a new version is added and the previous one stays visible. A prediction record cannot be edited or deleted at the database level, so history is not rewritten: you can see what was said, when, and what changed.
